Last Words
Advice for preparation of the match... Drink lots of water the day before to hydrate yourself and sleep early. Try to resist temptations to watch the World Cup quarterfinals. Maybe can catch the repeat or encore telecasts. Do not do any vigorous exercises or activities on Friday, (can exclude PE la).
Next morning have a light breakfast, and be at dempsey earlier ideally at 8, practically before 8.30. Have to do warmups and final briefing of formation and tactics. Then, play your best!
List of things to bring (sounds like going for camp, but just a reminder :D)
-Team jersey top
-Team jersey shorts
-Team long socks
-Shin guards (important)
-Boots
-Ball (for warmups)
-Personal medications? (ahh... Deepheat or maybe first aid kit, just in case)
-Insect repellant (highly advisable especially at Dempsey, dun wanna end up like JJ)
-Water
-Money (to pay people who you owe, ahem..)
These items are up to you whether to bring
-Extra clothes/footwear? (gonna be muddy)
-Drinks
-Food (maybe snacks for full time whistle celebration, or if hungry la)
-COINS (for vending machine)
-Contact lens (for those who wear specs, wear at your own risk)
-Ankle guard/Knee guard/Helmet or whatever guard you may need
By the way... some money statistics here if you wonder how much we spent on this team/match...
-Adidas jersey top=$27
-Adidas jersey shorts=$19
-Socks=$5
-Booking of field=$1.50
-Referee= About $2.50
-Shin guards= see whether you rich or not
-Birthday gifts= CM-$8, YL-$1 (Btw, whole team owes daryl $1 for YL bd present)
should be all now... dun be sad if you are on the bench, or being substituted... there should be a 'logical' reason behind the decision. Eg. need for fresh legs, some sort of 'punishment' ....ahem, poor performance etc. Everybody is not perfect and mistakes are common so even if we are trailing one goal in the last minute, dun ponder on the mistakes but try to make up for it (by scoring from halfway line? how about goalkick? Chien Ming must be interested heh...)
Whatever it is, just try your best for the match and for the team!!! Good Luck!
