Anniversary

Yay, the blog has reached and exceeded its 50th post! This is the 51st post and shows how active our team is even though we go to different schools, do different things, and play separately. This is a tribute to those who contributed to this blog, even by tagging or popping by to see what s happening to this team stuck in Singapore and find out its home ground is going to be repaired.

Yep, that s right. Our supposed home ground, Dempsey Road field would be going under repair in the month of November if you didnt know. It should be repaired around late October to latest December according to its annual repairing of field plan. So when we get back to our home ground during the last month of the holiday, we should see a whole nice patch of green grass, nicely cut, goal posts repainted, lines redrawn, corner flags repaired, walkway to field clear of spider webs, and who knows what dangling from the surrounding trees. Pitch 1 and 2 are being repaired first at an earlier time and would end earlier than pitch 3 and 4, so it would be an alternative place to hold matches. So far, the cheapest available football field is Dempsey at $37/ 2hrs. And after all the repairs, haha, we will benefit from it. (Hmm, maybe the vending machine will be cleared of foreign substances, especially white stuff, at the displacing compartment.)

Since the Dempsey currently sucks, ulu, can drinks got bird s**t, field got so many patches of sand, lines all fading, we will have to change our home ground if we have a match before the field is repaired. Jeremy suggested we book an ITE field since it is the same price as Bukit Timah Field ($50) and would have better accessibilty. [it's a school for goodness sake] Most have grandstands and free water, water coolers, cleaning up facilites and everything that is good for us. Better facilities than Bukit Timah for the same price. Of course our matches must be in the day, or else we have to pay hundreds to on the bloody floodlights (the gigantic light bulbs 20 metres tall in every corner of a stadium). Yea, there will be proper subs bench. Jer again suggested the newly but havent opened ITE Bukit Panjang. We might be the first to use the field. Then ying lun was impressed with ITE Simei [fyi, it s in the east.] Of course no.11 was kidding. Who would want to go all the way to the other end of Singapore to play matches (except me)? Honestly, ITE Simei's field is good and grand as it is just built a year ago.

If you have any suggestions, post it or tag it. yes, Singapore is democratic. You can suggest where we can hold our matches for the time being or even permanently if Dempsey still sucks. But dun forget, Dempsey will always be cheaper.
