Tribute to Dempsey

We have received news that our homeground, Tanglin Fields at Dempsey Road is closing down permanently after October, presumably to make way for the development of the city area.

As only the pioneer members of the team knows how much this place means to the team, it is necessary to let the newer members understand the value of our homeground.

Dempsey as we all call it, was the first proper football field we held countless trainings on, had the infamous ball ramming sessions, got chased out by the old man and had our debut match. There were beautiful memories and to some individuals, 'once in a lifetime' experience. SJI's 435 won their school's interclass at the same venue, same pitch.

This post is to remind all sentimental pioneer members of the closure and to gather to visit our homeground once more before a building is built on it.
