Dispute

I am writing to settle this ever-going dispute.

Some of you might be wondering, why do you even care about him?

Some of you might be thinking, "Ying Lun, your stupid, heck care pls,"

Even worse, some might be pissed with me because I am doing this.

But have you guys ever wondered, were you ever fair to him in anyway?

Put yourself in his shoe and have some empathy. Not everyone is a Ronaldo or a Ronaldinho. It just so happens that one of our team members needs more practise on his footballing skills and physical fitness. We can't just treat him "like trash".

Yes, I know that you guys are complaining about his attitude. You guys are OK with the fact that he isn't that good, but just can't tolerate the fact that he has that "Never-want-to-change,thick-skinned" attitude. That is portrayed in many ways, but why can't you just tell him in the face and perhaps make him change his attitude, instead of finding ways to "Kick" him out?

I believe he must have his reasons for doing certain things. So, let him have his way. Anyway, the choice is his. If he wants to stay in the team, we should cooperate together as a team to help him, instead of being selfish and neglecting him and at the same time, teasing him. If he wants to leave, then Sayonara, a full-stop to this magnificent chapter.

Terence, I hope you understand the situation. Once again, I am not talking as if I am pro, or I am perfect. You can always point out my bad qualities/points, like what Daryl did, about the "destruction of perfect things" thingy. So... Its YOUR choice.

'Shocking' Latest News

Team Slayers no. 5, Terence, has shockingly left the team after the match against little-known SJI Indian team, aka Kum's Club. It is reported that the right-back was substituted during the match in the second half due to tactical reasons. However, he was furious with the decision and stormed out of the pitch, packed his bag and left the venue. Little is known what exactly happened after that. However, on Monday 16th April 2007, some anonymous sources reported that he decided to leave the team and search for a better future.

We truthfully and sincerely wish Terence a bright future ahead wherever he chooses to pursue his football interests.

Report

It was a match that was almost called off at the very last minute as the fixed venue which was Hua Yi Secondary had pitch conditions that the warden thought it was best not to have 22 men trampling on it. As a result, the match moved to Commonwealth MRT Field which was the home ground of Kum’s Club. The pitch was extremely water logged and was deemed unplayable by the referee upon his arrival. After some heated exchanges between the bodies on the muddy pitch, the referee gave the players the say.

The game kicked off with a very organize and threatening Slayers side. Almost the strongest possible line up was fielded but Kum’s Club was not as lucky having lost 4 players. However, being boosted by their return to their home ground, they seemed more comfortable with the pitch and an unofficial size goalpost. Soon, after 3 minutes, 12. Jun Jie claimed that his goal line scramble pushed the ball into the goal. However, the referee ruled it out and play continued. Slayers played well with the ball spending most of its time on the wings and Kum’s penalty box. Kum’s Club pumped all the balls available and it seemed useful after one long punt. The ball was miskicked first time by Slayers centreback 16. Christopher and that caused it to travel towards the byeline where a Kum player tried to prevent the ball from going out. He failed to do so and Slayers keeper Ting Soon left his post to claim the loose ball. At the same time, Kum’s 9. Kesavan nicked the ball away from the keepers hands and dribbled towards the goal and squeezed it in. Slayers were quick in responding to this set back within minutes. Captain 10. Jeremy found himself in acres of space in the centre of the park and decided to have shot. His dipping shot was straight towards the keeper but 11. Srivatsan stuck out his right leg to deflect the ball past his own goalkeeper. The remaining half was half a dozen corners on the right side for Slayers, showing the effectiveness in attacking the area. 10. Jeremy, 7. Shawn and 8. Daryl did well in controlling the right flank while 22. Ming displayed high levels of confidence for his dribbling skills in his own penalty box. He had a chance which he well missed. 9. Reuben and 21. Benedict sparkled at times on the left flank, combining well to produce some decent crosses for 18. Wei Ian.

The second half started with a 2 changes to the Slayers line up. 12. Jun Jie left the venue while 5. Terence came in for him. Centreback 20. Andy came in for 21. Benedict. The most noticeable change was 16. Christopher moving to LM while 22. Ming moving upfield more often for corners and freekicks. From the kick off of the second half to the end, 16. Christopher showed an array of skills and dribbling that had Kum’s defenders only managing to slide around embarrassingly. 9. Reuben was a star man in defence with his consistent display at LB, hooking away dangerous balls at the right moment. 20. Andy did well in clearing his lines at times, proving a good stopper. 8. Daryl operating as what seem a right defensive midfield was ultimately a RB after complications in that position arouse. 5. Terence was substituted out for 21. Benedict and the latter who is clearly a midfield player seemed uncomfortable at RB. After a few minutes, 15. Elian came in to fill the troublesome position while 21. Benedict moved up as striker. 18. Wei Ian and 10. Jeremy were mostly anonymous in the second half while 16. Christopher and 7. Shawn ran the show. 11. Ying Lun did well in defending counter attacks launched by the Kums and was injured in the process. Kum’s 49. Ganesh landed on his left leg and he felt the impact and strained that required some attention. 7. Shawn and 16. Christopher took shot after shot but never seem to get it on target.Earlier on. a long punt by Kum’s 10. Satish to their right flank was directed to the centre to 7. Nurhisyam. A weak challenge by 8. Daryl could not stop the opposing CM from making a fantastic through pass to 9. Kesavan who appeared offside. He skipped pass 5. Terence with the ball and evaded the advancing keeper 14. Ting Soon before chipping it into the net. Slayers were desperate for a goal and attacked every time they had the ball. It left a non-existent defence in the Slayers half. Almost everyone in Slayers moved up for the final few corners while only 15. Elian and 20. Andy stayed back. Kum’s Club were bombarded with shots and 1.Amin did well to keep all of them out. The last few minutes had a glimpse of hope for Slayers to pull back an equalizer when 16. Christopher again, did his magic. His cross was cleared only to 8.Daryl and the latter quickly skipped past 9. Kesavan but was fouled in the process. 11. Ying Lun and 7. Shawn stood over the ball placed 3 metres from the edge of the box. Tension was rising. It was the last minute of the game and all eyes were on these 2 players. After some discussions, 7. Shawn walked away. The referee blew the whistle to signal 11. Ying Lun to take the freekick. He took a few strides, powered his shot over the wall but was saved by 1. Amin’s left glove as it flew over the bar. After the subsequent corner which neither 1.75m 7. Shawn could convert nor 1.85m 22. Ming could head, the referee blew his whistle for the last time to end a horrendous and low entertainment value match. It was a match of mud flying and balls swimming in puddles and a result that was unjust to Team Slayers having tons of possession and set pieces. It ended 2-1.

New Signings

This month seems like the transfre window (opened) for Team-Slayers.

We signed 2 new players and we are negotiating with 2 other players.

New comers are :

Jersey No. 15 : Elian Lee

Fun guy to be with, whole day tell jokes and try to cheer you up if you are sad. Does stupid things that will make you laugh. Just started playing soccer, i assume >.< ----- so he will take some time to get used to the game. No fixed position.

Jersey No. 14 : Ang Ting Soon

Major signing man. The most important position on the field is FINALLY occupied permanantly. Yes, we have finally found our 1 and only GOALKEEPER!!! He was the hero for class 435 during their inter-class soccer tournament and was described as 'Godly','Use Hack 1','Pwnage keeper' in the SJI street soccer court. Has almost all the aspects of a goal keeper ; Quite tall, daring, dives, able to drop kick and throw far. The only things that we are concerned of is his Goal Kicks and the ablility to position the wall for a free kick, positioning, commanding the defence and (erm...) Penalty Kicks =D. Position : GOALKEEPER (Duh)
